On Tuesday, May 9, 2017 from 6:30pm-8pm, I will be participating in a panel discussion along with Dr. Jessica Phillips-Silver (Music Neuroscience and Child Development Researcher in Neuroscience at Georgetown University Medical Center) on the topic of Synesthesia.
I was asked by Washington Performing Arts Mars Urban Arts Initiative (MUAI) to participate in this event and I am so excited! This will be the first time I will be able to speak about Synesthesia and Chromesthesia in a broader context. The event also includes a "Listen, Sip, and Paint" session that explores the music of Messiaen and his experience with Synesthesia as a musician. This event is also in anticipation of Washington Performing Arts' performance of "Messiaen: From the Canyons to the Stars" at DAR Constitution Hall on Friday, May 12, 2017. Thank you to Shay Stevens and André Coleman of Washington Performing Arts for giving me this opportunity.
