Malia Alana "Lonnie" Pauls is an Afro-Cuban American fine arts abstract expressionist painter, freelance web designer, business card designer, social media consultant, and intuitive-empathic tarot reader.

After being involved in many art forms throughout her life, including culinary arts, music, dance, and photography, Lonnie took interest in painting in 2013 with the help of Gina Lewis, art professor at Bowie State University, who introduced Lonnie to the work of abstract artist Gerhard Richter; since then, Lonnie has not stopped painting, and has incorporated Chromesthesia into her work.  Besides Gerhard Richter, Lonnie is inspired by other artists such as Jackson Pollock, Alma Woodsey Thomas, Mark Rothko, Joan Mitchell, Michael B. Platt, and her mentor Aziza Claudia Gibson Hunter.

Lonnie became a RAW Artist July 2015 under the Visual Arts category.  Her first RAW show was held on September 2, 2015 at the Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C.  In February 2017, Lonnie was given the opportunity to have her first ever solo artist exhibition, CHROMA, at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center Passage Gallery in Alexandria, VA.  Lonnie was also given the opportunity to curate a solo art exhibition at the Schlesinger Center, partnering with artist Chee Keong Kung, as her intern project for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Lonnie is a current student in the Masters in Arts Management program at George Mason University, as well as a Freelance web designer, art curator, social media consultant and tarot reader.  Lonnie is 23 years old and resides in Northern Virginia.
